Oops we’re all human

So as it turns out I am very technologically challenged and didn’t actually post my first intro thing that I wrote so I’m trying again and hopefully it’ll work this time, so sorry this is awkwardly late and now all mixed in with people who struggle less and are writing their posts for Thursday… The thing that I’ve been thinking about lately is how in some ways the movement towards equality has made it in many ways easier to judge ourselves and others much more harshly. Now that it’s more accepted for men and women to stray from the traditional family structure, it seems that everyone is expected to do it all. Everyone has to have a thriving career, be hyper-involved with the family they’re expected to have, and still have time to have friends and maintain their own mental health. Sometimes I think we all forget to let ourselves breathe and know that not doing everything all at once isn’t the end of the world.
